So we had some heavy rains this past week. Schlegel run really became a mess and washed a lot of debris downstream including whole trees and silt. It took out the small bridge where I normally fish. I’m happy to report that the bridge was already repaired. Changing the subject, I went down to the Smith road park and managed to catch a good sized rock bass out of Swamp Creek. This was my fourth trip to the park but my first actual catch. I had a nice Smallmouth bass a few weeks ago there but he came off . It’s so close to my house that I’m sure I’ll keep checking it out.
